The Coddiwomplers are returning to Deepdale Farm, to teach some Christmas-themed willow weaving workshops. Emma and Stuart are teachers and basket weavers based in South Norfolk. Stuart has been honing his craft for over 15 years, with Emma joining as apprentice a few years ago. She is now a fully fledged member of the team and together they provide a fun, supportive environment in which to learn the craft of willow weaving.

Our Christmas-themed workshops will be held indoors, in the Brick Barn, beside Deepdale Rooms & Camping. You’ll learn some basic skills and techniques of willow weaving and basketry, whilst creating lovely decorations for your home and perfect for gifts.

Willow Weaving Workshop – Christmas trees

Our morning workshop will focus on learning some basic skills and techniques of willow weaving, whilst creating beautiful Christmas decorations for your home. We’ll focus on using the flat weave technique to create a range of Christmas Trees.

This three-hour workshop is suitable for beginners, so no previous experience of willow weaving is necessary. However, some manual dexterity and hand strength will be required. Minimum age 18.

Teas, coffees and biscuits will be provided.

Maximum 10 participants in each course.

The course will be held indoors, in the Brick Barn, beside Deepdale Camping and Rooms. There is heating, but it is a large barn, so please dress suitably for the weather with layers.

No accommodation is included with this course. We recommend staying at Deepdale Camping & Rooms, which offer excellent self-catering rooms and camping for tents, campervans and motorhomes.
