Open Farm Sunday – 12th June 2022
We’re delighted to welcome you back to Deepdale Farm again this year! Come and find out more about how we farm, and what we’re doing for wildlife.
After introductions and some activities in the farmyard, join a guided farm walk at 11am or 2pm. The walk is about 3km or up to an hour and a half, and we’ll stop in various places to talk about what we can see. We’ll look at our crops, our regenerative and organic farming practices and our woodland.
Find out more about what we’re doing for wildlife, and hopefully we’ll see some wildlife along the way! You’ll get to see areas of the farm that aren’t usually open to the public and ask questions which our knowledgeable team will be very happy to answer.
This is also an interactive session where we’ll test some soil to learn more about what makes healthy soils. The views are pretty good too!
Places are limited, so please make sure you book ahead. Please come suitably dressed for the weather, with decent shoes/boots for walking as there will be some dirt tracks.
The guided farm walk is on level ground with a gentle uphill climb and should be suitable for most ages and abilities including those with decent buggies. Please be aware that we will be walking on fields and crossing field boundaries; this walk may not be suitable for wheelchair users.
Please email us with any queries.
Dogs are welcome if kept on a lead at all times.
Price: FREE but please pre-book your place – www.trybooking.co.uk/BPPZ
